Board Appointment
DATONG PLC (DTE.L), the designer and manufacturer of advanced high performance intelligence gathering equipment, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Brearley as a Non-executive Director, with effect from 1 September 2009.
Richard has extensive corporate finance and regulatory experience and is currently responsible for legal and compliance at Investec. Prior to this, Richard was a corporate partner at the law firm Nabarro LLP.
Richard will replace James Cooke who has resigned from the board of DATONG to pursue other opportunities. James has made a significant contribution to the Company, initially as an Executive Director and for the last three years as a Non-executive Director. The Board thanks him and wishes him all the best in the future.
There is no information in relation to Mr. Brearley's appointment required pursuant to Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM rules for Companies other than as follows:
